Mozda ste primjetili kako zadnjih dana nismo bili jako aktivni na blogu. Svemu je kriv Amsterdam i Queensday, jer smo ove godine 1.maj odlucili proslaviti u Nizozemskoj.
Vasa stereosound ekipa vam donosi malo videa i slikica. Kako se josh privikavamo da smo opet ovdje, malo cete pricekati za potpuni update kako je bilo. Uglavnom, iz Zagreba smo zbrisali u srijedu (29.), a vratili se u nedjelju. Svatko tko je bio u Amsterdamu reci ce da je 4 dana prekratko za taj grad i istina. Sve je prebrzo proslo, no nadamo se da ovaj put nece proci tri godine do sljedeceg posjeta tom velicanstvenom gradu i ljudima.
Na sam Queensday (dan kada nizozemska Kraljica slavi rodjendan) cijeli grad je u muzici, dobroj zabavi i plesu. Plese se na svakom koraku, DJ sviraju sa brodova, iz stanova, iz birceva ili postavljenih tribina.
Nevjerojatno, ali setajuci gradom i kanalima, muzika koja se uglavnom mogla cuti je bila elektronska. Stalno sam razmisljala o tome, hoce li Hrvatska ikad dozivjeti taj stupanj....

We set sail with the Piratas crew on their 2nd voyage from Ibiza to Formentera and back. We were in for a special treat as one half of the dynamic duo of Layo & Bushwacka got behind the decks just before sunset. Crossing genres with aplomb, Bushwacka took us on a surreal music journey that truly matched the beautiful surroundings. Enjoy!

Kako je sve počelo? Tresor je počeo sa radom početkom 1991. godine, dvije godine nakon pada berlinskog zida - pronađen je savršen prostor za stvaranje novog glazbenog vala. Tresor je u oko 1920. god. bio poznati trgovački centar, njegovo podzemlje sa čeličnim šipkama i valovitim hodnicima, savršeno je predstavljalo apokaliptičnu atmosferu do tada malo poznate techno glazbe.
Ključ uspjeha je bilo povezivanje sa techno umjetnicima iz Detroita, njihova gostovanja u Tresoru početkom devedesetih, zajedno sa njemačkim djima (Maurizio, Paul Van Dyk, Dr. Motte, Tanith...) najavljivala su stvaranje nove globalne glazbene scene. Krajem 91’ osniva se izdavačka kompanija Tresor Records i već njihovo drugo izdanje ima naziv “Berlin Detroit – A Techno Alliance”. Umjetnici iz Detroita poput kultnih Undergroud Resistance (Jeff Mills, Mike Banks, Robert Hood), Juan Atkinsa, Blake Baxtera stvarali su povijest svakim svojim gostovanjem u Tresoru.
U svojih četrnaest godina rada u Tresoru je gostovalo mnogo umjetnika, klub je u domeni elektronske glazbe postao jedan od svjetski najpoznatijih i svakako najutjecajnih mjesta.
16. travnja 2005. Tresor zatvara svoja vrata , u potrazi je novo mjesto za stvaranje novih promjena.
Ipak, izdavačka kompanija Tresor records uspješno nastavlja sa svojim radom...
Osnivač Tresora u Berlinu, Dimitri Hegemann najavio je otvorenje ovog kluba na lokaciji stare elektrane u Berlinu za 7. ožujka 2007 Stara elektrana u Berlinu ima 4 kata i ukupno 20.000 kvadratnih metara. Budući da se radi o zaista velikom prostoru Dimitri je odlučio podijeliti ga u nekoliko sekcija.
U toj podjeli klub Tresor dobio je mršavih 5% ukupne površine. Tako će se osim partija tamo događati i velike izložbe umjetnina. Tijekom iducih mjeseci u planu je napraviti i otvoriti lokaciju za dnevne posjete izložbama.

Factory je osnovao Tony Wilson u kasnim 70-tim godinama. Za Factory su izdavala imena poput Joy Divisiona, Happy Mondaysa i New Ordera.
The rise and fall of the most influential and successful independent record label in British rock music history.
In a dark, northern city in the late 70s, five dreamers built a record label - Factory; three classic bands - Joy Division, New Order and Happy Mondays, and Britain's first super club - The Hacienda.
Led by Tony Wilson, they created a unique collision between conceptual art and street music. This is the story of how a TV presenter, an out of work actor, an art student, a DJ and an aspiring record producer pioneered Britain's independent pop culture, imagined a new Manchester, and blew a shed-load of money.
Produced and directed by Chris Rodley in the last three months and featuring an extensive interview with Factory's creative genius, Anthony Wilson, who sadly died on Friday, August 10, 2007, this 90 documentary celebrates the triumph, tragedy and human comedy that was Factory and is a fitting tribute to Wilson's contributio n to British pop culture and to Manchester. With its contracts signed in blood and record sleeves made of sandpaper, it turned bad business into an art form and makes those Chaos At The Chateau types look like Sir Alan Sugar.
Many of the more colourful anecdotes - like sending Happy Mondays to record in heroin-free Barbados, not realising the island was crack central - were told in the film 24 Hour Party People.
But they're worth telling again - especially since the death of Factory founder Tony Wilson who's interviewed at length here.
So too are Peter Hook and Bernard Sumner of New Order whose single Blue Monday became the biggest selling 12 inch of all time, losing money with every copy sold. They recall how the suicide of Joy Division's Ian Curtis came as a shock because they'd never listened to his lyrics.
And fans who still treasure their Joy Division and Durutti Column albums may be surprised to hear how much the bands hated what Factory's in-house producer Martin Hannett did to their sound.
Recalls Hooky drily: "You could take any band - they could have been together for four weeks or 40 years.
"And if they were getting on, Martin Hannett would have them at each other's throats in two days."
Tony Wilsons life ended on August 10th, 2007 (heart attack). He was buried in Southern Cemetery. His coffin was numbered FAC 501.
Director, Chris Rodley: The initial idea was to structure the film around two interviews with Tony Wilson, the first to be done immediately, and a second to be done much later - when we'd interviewed everyone else who was willing and available to talk. But like most plans for documentaries, this wasn't to be.
Despite his obvious frailty, Wilson went on the offensive immediately. Meeting at a restaurant with myself and Jane Maugham - Assistant Producer on the film - the night before shooting, he checked our credentials at the table by calling friends who might have seen other films we'd made (my recent film about Gilbert and George for the BBC's 'Imagine' series and Jane's film about The Fall). "Were they any good, because I'm sitting with the makers right now?" Apparently they were. Tony liked to think of himself as tough. As he said: "I'm a c***t". He wasn't.
Our challenge was that our cast comprised the real 24-hour party people, and that the job of the documentary is to deliver the reality and facts of a situation. Luckily for us, the so-called truth behind the Factory myth turned out to be more interesting, outrageous and - in some cases - downright unbelievable than the legend. Interviewing Shaun Ryder proves yet again what James Dean-obsessed method actors and Andy Warhol knew viscerally - that there's no place to hide in front of a camera. His pauses are the gold.
If it's words you're after, Paul Ryder's alarming honesty is every director's wet dream, as is Stephen Morris' sense of humour and delivery in the face of obvious absurdity and madness. And there's no mistaking the kind of brilliant conclusions that come so easily to characters like Peter Saville and Paul Morley - real players unafraid of viewing Factory's achievements in a pretentious-sounding kind of way: Factory as a 'social experiment', as a cultural force, as a manifestation of Tony Wilson's ego. The kind of talk the label's bands often laugh about: the kind of talk that Peter Hook calls "arty bullshit".
Factory's story plays like a very old, familiar drama, but with a brilliant new musical score and a fabulously wayward cast. Its star player has, sadly, died and there is no understudy able to fill his shoes. But I'm forgetting ... they hate this kind of crap up in Manchester.

Synopsis:
Two robots, Hero #1 (Peter Hurteau) and Hero #2 (Michael Reich) drive through a small mid-American town populated by similar robots. Hero #1 and Hero #2 arrive at a laboratory and are given latex human-like faces with prosthetic features. Hero #1 and Hero #2 return to the town, but are chased out by the robotic locals, and their faces melt off in the intense heat. Hero #1 and Hero #2 escape on foot across the desert. After a long period of travelling Hero #1 reveals a panel on his back and asks Hero #2 to activate it. Hero #1 explodes, leaving Hero #2 alone in the desert. After more travelling, Hero #2 takes his helmet off to reveal a circuit board face. Hero #2 then smashes his helmet, and uses a shard of glass to focus the light from the sun onto his hand, which combusts, the fire eventually engulfing him.

Acid, House and Techno changed the landscape of the German music scene ever since the end of the eighties. Producer Ramon Zenker (born 11.11.1969) and DJ Oliver Bondzio (born 7.29.1976) were ahead of this new movement right from the start. In 1991 they formed Hardfloor and had their first success with the release “Once Again Back/Drug Overload” on the well-known label Eye Q. Only a few months later Hardfloor released their “Hardtrance Acperience EP” on Sven Vääth’s cult status label Harthouse. This EP made them famous for their innovative sound far beyond European boundaries, the song “Acperience 1” which even made its way into the UK charts, is still one of the milestones of Techno culture.
Only one year later the first long player “TB Resuscitation” was released, followed by other great and successful Albums such as “Respect” (1994), “Homerun” (1996), “Best of Hardfloor” (1997) and “All Targets Down” (1998). In 1998 the popular label K7 released their tenth X-Mix-Compilation called “Jack The Box”, for which K7 released to persuade Hardfloor to do the track listing and mixing of this album. On this compilation Oliver and Ramon present tracks that have influenced them the most, especially sound wise. This sound is called Acid House and the instrument that immediately comes to mind is the TB 303 built by Roland. The TB 303 is the centre of the Hardfloor sound, but breaks beats and Trip-Hop elements spice up the audio experience of Hardfloor, finally resulting in the side-project called: “dadamnphreaknoizephunk”.
Hardfloor also managed to gather a huge fan base in the land of the rising sun. They had their first gig in Japan in 1994 and ever since Ramon and Oliver keep on returning every year to celebrate with one the most enthusiastic audiences of the world. As a special “thanks” for the Japanese fans Hardflloor often release Bonus Tracks, not available in other countries. They also remixed tracks for many Japanese artists and contributed a track for Playstation game: “Ghost In The Shell”. Of course, many other states all over the world are glad to welcome Hardfloor in their clubs. Australia, the USA, you name it. Oliver and Ramon played the big festivals: Tribal Gathering (UK). Universe (UK), Arivika (SWE), Mayday (D), Time Warp (D), Nature One (D). and Quart Festival (NOR).
Apart from working as producers Hardflloor are very requested remixers for International pop acts like Depeche Mode, Mike Oldfield, New Order, Human League, Mory Kante and Anne Clark, as well as more underground style Techno acts like Robert Armani, Secret Cinema, A Guy Called Gerald or the Rising High Collective. After a slightly longer break in which Oliver and Ramon produced the two “Dadamnphreaknoizphunk” albums “Take Off Da Hot Sweater” and “Lost and Found”, Hardfloor founded their own label in 2003:
